Walking in Danvers Park, April 26, 2007

I had wished to take the boys to a park in Danvers that Michael and I used to go a lot and today was a nice and sunny day for going out.
The boys love going out and feeling free to walk where ever they want , touch and taste what ever they want. Of course it is not what I want but a part of me likes to see them enjoy and laugh in a way that they want themselves. Maybe because I want to get prepared for their teenage days when .... Oh, my .....

On The Road of Independence, April 24, 2007

We had to spend a lot of money every month to buy baby formula for the boys so it will be much cheaper to use regular milk for them and also much easier to prepare, but today when I was making the last bottle of formula I was feeling sad to think about my babies growing up so fast.

Yesterday when we went shopping, I was feeling sad to see that all those cute little clothes were small for my boys and then coming home, we left the boys walk on the porch by themselves. I can't believe, it was like yesterday when the boys were nowhere in the world and Michael and I were taking pictures on the porch in a beautiful evening that we had nothing else to do but watching the sunset.

Yes, Charlie , you are right. They are growing up fast, on the road of independence.

Entry for April 23, 2007

Today we went for the boys' one year check-up. Everything went well as we had expected. The boys were active all the time that we were there, making me crazy to touching everything and the doctor was laughing at them to see them taking all the paper towels and tissues out of the cabinet !

The boys had to get 2 shots each one but didn't cry much ! They had a lot of things to do while we were there so had to stop crying and go on making mommy crazy !

It was a hot day and good for walking after all those cold days that we couldn't go out, so I decided to go for a little walk with the boys

The Birthday Party, April 21, 2007

My babies are one now ! It was a VERY busy but sweet year of my life which I will never forget. I appreciate every moment of the tiredness that I have been having because not everyone can be as lucky as me to be mother of such beautiful babies. Yes, it was a very hard year and my thanks to all the people that helped me go through it and the most: My husband Michael, my mother and my sister Behjat who were with me all the time when ever I needed an emotional support, my sister in law Jeanne who is always like a good sister for me and is always ready to listen to me, my very good friend Laurel who was with me in every little problem that I had, trying to find a solution and give my babies love and happiness when ever she came to visit and all the other people who were with me to love my babies and help me remember my luckiness

The birthday party went really well. Everyone enjoyed the party. It was not a small party and we had almost 30 guests so I was really busy from a day before the party and couldn't think about taking good pictures. I am sure many people in the party took good pictures and I am waiting for them to send me the pictures.

Here is a picture of the cake which was really good

Walking Outside for the First Time, April 19, 2007

It was nice and sunny today so we went out for a little walking. I let the boys walk a little bit in the basketball court and they enjoyed watching the kids playing there.

It was the first time for the boys, walking outside and I think they both really enjoyed it

Wow ! It was incredible ! Last night, River and Relic slept for whole night for the first time, so did I after more than 2 years !

They both feel much better. I think they are getting use to not having many audience. They both enjoy hearing my mother's and sister's voice on the phone. I keep showing them pictures of my family in Iran to not let them forget the wonderful time that they had.

Getting Ready for the Birthday Party, April 16, 2007

Michael and I had thought to have a birthday party for the boys and invite family and friends who have been with us through the difficult time of our boys' first year. Of course, there are many people that we wish to invite but we know that they can't come, like my family and many friends (Charlie!, I do wish you and Fay could be here for the party )

We went to get some stuff for the party and order the cake. I had never expected the cake to be so expensive $162 But Michael thought it is going to be the boys' first birthday and we should not mind to spend so much money for the cake

We are going o order some sandwiches and I am going to cook some other foods. I know, it is going to be a lot to do, but it is a very special day of our life and I enjoy doing things

Entry for April 09, 2007

After about 10 weeks, we are back home.

We did have wonderful time with my family in Iran. My niece Golrokh got married and Ghazal my another niece ( God knows what she means to me ) got engaged just a day before we left. I did have very emotional time seeing her getting engaged. I had met her fiance before and I knew how good he is but still, I am afraid if anyone deserves to be my Ghazal's husband.

Coming back home, we had some problems with our luggage, but other than that everything was better than how it could be. We survived having two little boys who have started walking , with us.

Relic loves our home so he is really happy to be back, but River is not having very easy time, not having all the people around to adore him. That's why he was so excited today when his uncle Jay and cousin Kienan came to visit.

It is still a little cold but tomorrow I am going to take the boys out to let them enjoy the beautiful spring of New England.

Entry for April 03, 2007

We have been having very busy but beautiful days.

My sweet niece Golrokh got married March 31, 2007. It was really emotional to see her in her beautiful wedding dress and thinking Oh, my God ! she has been grown up !

She is a very intelligent girl, got her Master degree in Polymer Engineering from one of the best universities in Iran, Polytechnic University of Tehran, when she was 23. Her husband Maziar is very intelligent too. He has his Master degree from same university and is a very good engineer. He is very warm and loving and I feel like he is my sister's son. They both are very special to us and we love them very much. Right now they are enjoying their honeymoon in a beautiful island in South of Iran.

Anyway, my little girl is married now and I do wish the best for her with all of my heart, because she is really special and deserves the best things in the world.

After all the parties for the wedding, it was the the last day of Norooz which was supposed to be a picnic day but because it was raining the whole day we decided to stay home and go to see my sister's family. I did need to hug my sister Behjat after her little girl had gone for her honeymoon. My sister has been really brave, trying to handle all the sadness of seeing her little daughter leaving. Thankfully, Maziar is a very nice man and we all love him. Otherwise, it would be much more sad letting my niece getting married

We all had a nice time at my sister's as we always do. Behjat was holding and kissing my boys, thinking about us leaving her soon. Seeing all the love that my babies have here around them, makes it very difficult for me to leave.
