It was a pretty busy May. I don't know, maybe having the boys around will make us busier and busier every day. Because they are really demanding and need at least one very strong person ( which only can be their mother or father ) to watch them all the time.

I had a beautiful mother's day on May 13. Then we celebrated our 5th anniversary in May 16. It is really hard to believe that it's been five years ! But for sure, I had the happiest years of my life in the last 5 years. And I believe having our two wonderful sons will make our life happier each day.

We just bought a wagon for the boys and they have a lot of fun with it ( thanks to their Aunt Kerry to drive all the way from Maine to bring the wagon for them ).

I had thought to start potty training for the boys, when it gets warmer. But it seems really hard considering how the boys don't want to listen when I talk with them. When ever I want to show them the potty and explain when they should use it, they attack the potty and use it as a toy.

The boys have been enjoying music and dancing very much. They can sit ( not exactly ) and watch River dance or Raffi concerts again and again and enjoy. I have been looking for a dance class for them. I found a music class for their age which I am not sure if it will be good enough for them. But we need to think about it.

After the last haircut that they had in Iran almost two months ago, their did need to get a new haircut. I thought to save money and do that myself which I believe was a very bad thought. Because I did the worst job, but Michael believes they still look very cute. I am thinking about taking them to a barber shop and ask to fix it, maybe on Saturday.

River has been feeling sick for 2 days. It is really difficult to take care of one sick baby and a very active one at the same time. That's why when Michael suggested me today to come home from work to help me, I couldn't say no. Thankfully he is doing really well at his job and they all love him and know that he will do his best, so he never has problem to spend time with us.

I took the boys today to Endicott Park which is a very beautiful place to enjoy. But I think the playground was not made for toddlers in my boys' age. It was covered all by sand which was good , but the stairs of slide were covered by and too. It was very hard to take care of both boys at the same time, that's why when I was pulling River's arm to come to be near to me, Relic fell down from the stairs and got hurt. Poor my baby was crying and rubbing his face on my chest so i couldn't know how bad it was and then when I saw, I was shocked. His forehead and left eyelid had bloody scratches and I had nothing with me to clean it up

I didn't want the boys to be disappointed and not enjoy the park before we leave. That's why after Relic felt better I let them run in the grass area.

We needed to go for some grocery shopping and after that, the boys both went to sleep in the car. When I was looking at Relic's forehead in the mirror, I was feeling guilty but thankful that nothing worse than that happened to my baby.

What River and Relic say and do at 13 months

Farsi words :

The above are the words that they use often or when needed. There are other words that they have used only a couple of times here or there (like jurab ("sock")). They are very good mimics, but that is not the same as using a word for a purpose.

They also can clap when we ask them in Farsi to do and also they do that when ever they get excited or after listening to every song that they like, wave to say good bye, give hi 5 , having the arms up and look up when we ask them to thank God ( of course in Farsi ), they make the kitten faces, they move the heads left and right when we ask them to do in Farsi, they both like dancing and enjoy it a lot.

Oh, God ! Help me to take care of my children !

River and Relic have started moving the chairs around to climb on them and go WHERE EVER they wished to go !

River has been standing up in his high chair. In last week, he was standing up on the table , using the chair to climb on. Yesterday he moved from his high chair to his brother's and God knows how impossible it seems. Today, they both had climbed on my computer desk. In the evening River had moved a chair to climb on and go to sit on the tray of his high chair and still was trying to move to his brother's when I caught him.

It is being more and more difficult to take care of them, each day. I just hope that God helps me to be able to take care of my babies well.

Here is a picture of Relic & River when we had gone to BJ's shopping. The shopping cart was funny and I had thought that the boys would love it, but very dirty as well. I tried to wipe it as much as I could to kill the germs before the boys go into it. I am trying to not be very protective to let my sons enjoy their childhood more , but it is really hard to see them touching all the dirty things and put everything in their mouths

A Very Busy Day, May 09, 2007

It's been a very busy day for me.

In the morning I took to the boys to the library where they had music program for children. The boys enjoyed it, but more they were happy to see all the other kids around. River wanted to make friends but didn't know how. That's why he was pulling girls' hair and was trying to sit every body's legs. Relic was happy more to be in the place that he could find A LOT of books. Anyway, they both did have a very good time and got really tired. When I was going to get lunch from Burger King's drive through they were crying and went to sleep in the car.

I had doctor appointment at 1:30 PM which took long, because it was my first visit with my new primary care. After that I had to go to Market Basket to get milk and pizza dough to make dinner.

I had mothers of multiples meeting tonight and was supposed to cook Italian food for the meeting, because it was Salem residents' turn to take food tonight. I made calzones and used the sauce that I had made yesterday.

My calzones came out well, and everybody liked them in the meeting. After the meeting I went to Walmart to return some stuff that I had ordered online and then finally I am home !

These days, I am not feeling very well, and there are a lot of reasons for that. The boys are making me exhausted and not giving me time to clean the house, and also I ran out of some medicine . Sometimes I miss working outside however I spend a lot of time outside with my boys everyday, walking around but still it is different to work like a structural engineer which I used to be. I miss spending time with my sister and the only time that I get to talk with her is when the boys are sleeping, and that's when I have A LOT of other things to do.

But with all the trouble that I have, there is always something that can make me feel like being in the heaven, which is watching my boys playing and laughing together. They do spend a lot of time playing with each other, which includes making a big mess around the house. But still makes me laugh. If I go to heaven, for sure the sound of my babies laughter will be what I will hear all the time

River and Relic are getting more and more active everyday so it is getting more and more difficult to take care of them.

Yesterday I was washing some pots and had the boys with me in the kitchen. I am not sure for how long it was that I was not watching them, but for sure not more than just a few minutes, and then when I turned, River was standing up on the table , happy and holding the salt shaker in his hands, and the table was covered with salt. I was exactly like this

It was really cute how he looked at that time but so hard for me to leave him in that situation and go to get the camera.

I try to play with them a lot to burn their energy when I am with them, but there are a lot of other things that I need to do around the house so it is not like I can always be with them. I take them out almost everyday ( if it doesn't rain ), and read books with them but they don't get tired easily. Being their mother I do need to be a super woman
