Some fun events, January 24, 2009

Yesterday when I was driving back home, Relic asked me to take them to park! It was a cold day and snow had covered everywhere in the park! It was really surprising, considering how they have been avoiding going outside because of the cold weather! I stopped at Salem Common and opened the door, letting them feel how cold it was. But they still wanted to go to play in the playground.

It was really cold and we were not prepared for walking in snow covered park. I had my gloves but the boys didn't have any. Neither of us was wearing boots. We all walked in cold snow to the swing and slide. The boys' eyes were tearing of cold. But they still wanted to play. I guess they had missed playing outside. They look so cute with those red and wet noses and I thought even they took a cold, it would be worth the joy :)

This morning Michael and the boys went for a breakfast party and a show of Curious Creatures. Michael could video tape a little how the boys were brave to touch every kind of animal there, even alligator and snake! I think the boys had a very wonderful time today with their Daddy and I am very glad that I wasn't there with them. Otherwise I would scream and would scare my boys!

Playing in Snow, January 19, 2009

We have had a good winter so far: a lot of snow and the boys have been enjoying it. However most of the time, when I ask them if they want to go somewhere they say :No, it's cold! But when they have to go they really enjoy it. Yesterday we went to their friend, Aurora's birthday party. They had the party in Gymboree. Last time that we were there, was Aurora's first birthday party. She is a very cute little American-Norwegian girl and we like her parents.

The last book that the boys have been reading was The Snowy Day. I wanted them to experience all the things that "Peter" was doing in the book. So, today I took the boys to our little backyard to play. They really enjoyed the snow and if it was not for the bubble bath that I had promised them to have, I would have problem pulling them inside.

We are planning to spend our Iranian new year with my sister's family in Texas. I think the boys will have a blast, playing in a big house and be spoiled by their aunt Badri and uncle Robert there. A few weeks ago, when I was showing the boys some pictures and videos that they had from last year, River asked me to go to his Aunt Badri's home after watching a video of them with her running around and playing in her house in Texas. I think it was the biggest reason for Michael and I to decide going there.

I do remember how my nieces and nephews had a blast coming to my mother's home. I remember how patient my mother was with them, never complaining the mess and broken stuff in her house by them. I wasn't patient with children then, because I was not a mother yet, but still... I do feel bad that my boys don't have that blast, because of living far far away from my mother and family but I am always thankful that my boys can have such a pure love in another side of the world :)

Entry for January 14, 2009

I know, I haven't been writing ....

From the last time that I wrote on my blog a lot of little things have happened that I am not sure if I remember them all. But the important thing is that I turned 38! I really believe that age is just a number but for sure 38 is not my favorite one ;)

Relic and River have been busy ( as they mention it themselves, sometimes ) jumping and running, playing computer games mostly from www.pbskids.com and www.starfall.com. They love to sound out words and are really good at that. River always looks for shortcuts and sometimes it makes things more complicated that they are. But he can use the mouse very well and because of that, he is mostly in charge of choosing games. Relic enjoys learning and tries to listen. They both are very different in a lot of ways but there are a lot of good things about them which are the same.

Ghazal ( my very favorite niece ) is moving to Sweden to join her new husband tomorrow. I know things are not going to be easy for them but I know they both are very hard working people and will try their best to make the life that they had dreamed of. The most important thing is that they love each other and it will make things easy for them in a lot of ways.

I have not been attending to the mothers of multiples meetings for a few months ( I did go to the mothers' holiday party dinner and had a lot of fun ). I am planning to go for tonight, but we will see ....
